Before attempting to write the above mentioned research paper, I submitted this research proposal to my teacher to gain approval for my topic. The added benefit of this assignment was that it really helped me have a plan and outline when I wrote the actual paper.

Young Adult Literature in the Classroom: A PowerPoint Presentation
After reseacherching and completing the research paper I created this PowerPoint presentation to help my classmated learn a little more about some main points as to why I think Young Adult literature should be more readily accepted in the classroom.
This 9 page paper focuses on a few of the reasons why Young Adult literature should be an acceptable genre to read in the classroom, and how it can be a very beneficial source for the students. By using academic sources and personal experiences, I make an argument as to why teachers, parents, and administrators should think twice before dismissing this genre.
Whats Up With Book Banning: A LinkedIn Article
This article focuses on some steps I think should be taken before books are banned from classrooms or libraries. Oftentimes books are banned without ever having the whole book read by the one doing the banning and I think that should be remedied. One bad part of a book does not mean the entire story is bad. Context is key.
This is the same article as before mentioned, but this is formatted to be a print article. It was made with publisher and showcases my ability to present information in a visually pleasing way. I had a lot of fun trying out diferent fonts and text placements for this project.
